Pregnancy Inmotion workshops are designed to give you timely access and expert advice on a more personal level. Workshops are offered in person with small groups allowing time for discussion, practical sessions and question time.
Workshops can also be attended online where you will receive fortnightly education classes, fortnightly workouts, access to a private Facebook with monthly Q&A’s and live exercises classes that can be attended in person or online.
In person workshops
Workshops are divided into three sessions each session being approximately 3 hrs.
Session 1: Pregnancy Inmotion (0-25 week’s gestation)
Get the right advice about exercise and training to stay fit and healthy during pregnancy, or get the motivation and guidance you need to get started on a suitable exercise routine. This session will answer your questions about exercise and training throughout pregnancy and address the special areas you need to focus on. For example: abs, pelvic floor and back strength. You will also learn specific strengthening exercises, stretches, and activity modification.
Session 2: Labour Inmotion (26-42 weeks gestation)
Your body is wired for labour and birth and you can help it work optimally. Learn how to tap into your natural resources with positioning, relaxation, massage, breathing and pain relief strategies. Partners are encouraged to attend this session so that they can learn how best to assist you during your labour.
Session 3: Recovery Inmotion (post-natal check-up)
In this session our women’s health physios will do your post-natal checks assessing your posture, stomach muscles and pelvic floor function with the aid of real time ultrasound and tailor and exercises program for you focusing on abs, pelvic floor and back. It’s great to get back into a suitable exercise routine as soon as you can you can also get guidance on returning to exercise, training and sports.
Once registered you will receive education videos on pregnancy and early postnatal recovery. Each fortnight you will receive a new video approximately 10-15 min along with a pre recoded workout. You will also have access to a private Facebook page where I will give live Q&A giving you the opportunity to ask any questions. Along with the monthly Q&A’s I will run a live exercise class that you can attend online or if you are local you can attend in person.
